It was the last working day for Santoshi for her Lenskart store at Wakad. She worked hard all day, done routine check-ups. But in the evening, it was time for celebration and the cake cutting. Gopal and Dileep along with few other employees were there to make it special for her and see her off.

Without a doubt, it was hectic for her but at the same time a special day too. With a lot of excitement, right at 8 pm, she packed her equipment and was ready to cut the cake and celebrate with her colleagues. But then, suddenly I came there from nowhere with my daughter for an urgent new set of spectacles. These days she is always short of time because she is busy with her 10th-grade studies. But there is a problem, being her last day, Santoshi has already packed her equipment ready for the cake cutting! But for us (in life it is always for us!), we cannot afford to come again especially when my daughter is in the middle of series of exams after COVID. So, what to do?
Left with no option, I requested Santoshi if she can perform eye testing for my daughter. I was not at all aware of the fact that it is her last day, she has packed her stuff and they all were waiting for her the celebration. Without thinking much, she said, “yes, no problem. Come in and I can quickly do the check-up.”
I thanked Santoshi profusely. But it was only later I came to know about her farewell. We honor her as Real-Time Heroes for her amazing job and giving customer-centric service. No doubt she will be one of the prime reasons to attract more and more customers to Lenskart.
