Tough times never last but tough people do. This is the only one-point mission of whole medical staff dealing with Corona patients at YCM, Hospital Pune. All under the able mentor-ship of Dr. Rajendra Wabale known for his unshakable determination with great care and concern for his staff. His message to the staff is simple – if you fail to plan than you planning to fail. Dr Wabale, who never failed to motivate anyone at anytime – even at the brink of challenges. When it is much easy to give up and settle for comfortable life he and his whole team slogged. Behind the scene, he and countless medical and non-medical staff and helpers worked with one goal, to save the lives of people. These real soldiers, our real heroes had fought countless face-to-face tussles when they took swabs, gave counselling to staff to rise above fear and even have to put up with tantrums of their own society people, who don’t want them to visit their societies as they are in constant touch with patients. So these health care workers, in spite of having their homes are living homeless life for over two months and having sleepless nights, just to make sure we get enough sleep and protection. Some of them are forced to stay away from their own family members and very small kids – to keep safe distance and not to bother their own society people.NO MATTER WHAT! But they continued and they all will continue to bring health and happiness to people everywhere. Let’s join our hands to say “Thank You” to these REAL LIFE HEROES to protect us from this deadly and contagious disease of COVID-19.Especially, I like to mention few names who gone out of their way, understanding this situation as their calling and ready to offer to others everything the name of service. A true and undisputed example of Servant Leadership!Dr. Kishore Khillare
A seasoned doctor and who successfully handled Swine Flu Epidemic is now a great asset to team here in YCM,Hospital Pune. A great example for other young staff to follow. His knowledge and proven methods have always spoken for himself. He played pivotal role in initial handling of patients when panic waves were going, but he along with staff nice grounded and firmly focused to address the upsurge of the disease. Happy he set a successful and glowing example for all.Dr. Chirag Shah
Known as Alexander, 26 year old, unmarried, is a fearless person, open to life, and has always ignored all meaningless criticism even this time, he refused to listen to his parents when they told them to be safe but this time too, like always he did what is required. Gain courage and attack the situation full-fledge. Committed and focused, a front-runner who paved path for others to follow and now happy with his efforts. He is a fulfilled from inner satisfaction and joy of living life and giving health and confidence to others to life. Expert in taking swabs and still taking right and correct precautions. Trust me, next time you talk to Chirag you are sure to get more positive energy rubbed on to you, his direction to deal with his own life issues is exemplary. Salute to you Dr. Chirag!Shagun Pise
A silent achiever, this 34 year old, married, medical officer is an accommodating person – a person with few words but big work and goals. A valuable team player, expert in taking swabs, dealing with pressure situations and happy to do his own bit and then living everything to God. He is staying away from family to keep them safe; it is uncomfortable and painful when your own society people cannot accept the hard work, but he says, that’s OK. I’m here to do my part. A shy sounding but strong in mind Shagun is a family man (who like other husbands fears the anger of his wife!) talks to his wife only on phone for last one month or so. Next time you meet Shagan, say hello and say thanks on our behalf!Great job all. Please share work stories and commitment of these strong souls with others!
