Have you ever considered how valuable it is to learn from even the smallest of our failures? What does the journey look like after one fails to achieve success? Mr. Rahul Sinha’s story is inspiring, as it encourages us to work hard every day and approach every problem with a positive attitude.
Mr. Sinha comes from a lower-middle-class family, with his father earning just Rs 5000 per month. Despite this, his parents never compromised on his education and always encouraged him to study well, even if it meant sacrificing various luxuries.
“My mom and dad are my real heroes. They have given up a lot of happiness and comforts to ensure that I receive a good education.”
Rahul has been an exceptionally creative person since childhood and had decided on his career and field of work at a very young age. “I decided to become a designer when I was only in the 2nd grade. I didn’t even know how to spell designer at that time, but I was certain about my career choice.”
He participated in many competitions such as on-the-spot painting and rangoli, receiving various gold medals at the national level. Despite his father being a mathematician and good at maths, Rahul was never pressured to become an engineer.
After completing the 12th grade, he began preparing for NIFT and NID, putting in great effort to get into the college of his choice. However, to his disappointment, he missed qualifying for NID by just 1.5 marks, and his rank in NIFT was also not up to par. “I ranked 1883 all over India, while a colleague I trained got 500 ranks.” This setback was a blow to his dreams.
It was a tough time for him as he saw all his efforts go down the drain. However, he did not lose hope. After a few months, he received counseling for college and was admitted to the college of his choice.
This incident challenged him to prove himself, and he decided that from then on, he would not give anyone a chance to question his abilities. He worked three times harder than his batchmates, completed extra assignments, created out-of-the-box designs, and even worked ahead of his syllabus. Excellence became his way of life.
Mr. Sinha believes that those years of struggle have helped him in his career after college too. During campus placement, he received an average salary, similar to his batchmates. However, he realized the value of his hard work when he began changing jobs. His professional growth from that point on was unprecedented and extraordinary.
Today, at only 28 years old, he has exceeded market standards and works as a Textile Designer at Eco Tasar. His habit of performing exceptionally well has earned him great respect and income in his field. His learning from his mistakes and failures teaches us never to give up and to keep striving to achieve our goals.
Let us welcome Mr. Rahul Sinha to the Real Life Hero club for his determination and passion for his career.
