Two Simple Mantras To Win Any Customer
Akshay & Mayuri, an ordinary looking sales people at leading super-mall but again with an extra-ordinary attitude in their work. They both exhibited rare quality of care and concern for customer’s real needs and gone extra mile to give me a “WOW” factor.
It was a typical weekend busy day and both these sales person were literally on their toes just making sure that there is enough of heavily discounted merchandize to serve the ever-hungry customers. They don’t have time to breath, forget giving a dedicated time to me to find grey color full-sleeves T-shit. Left with no option, I dared to ask them if they can help, their immediate response was “no” but suddenly they realized there are some unopened boxes and they might have my grey colored full-sleeves T-shit in it.
It looked almost impossible but somehow they planned. Mayuri would alone look after floor customer; putting extra effort and Akshay ran to see if the unopened boxes might have it in them. During Akshay’s absence Mayuri was super busy and I felt bad to keep them in that situation. After few minutes Akshay came with “my T-Shit” and so as their store manager only to find that Akshay instead of serving customer has gone to open boxes that meant to be opened in the night.
In the beginning manager was upset but then he saw his employee’s desire to genuinely serve customer, their effort and coordination that they both put were amazing; without compromising the quality of service to other customers was really exemplary. They could have easily got away from my request and there was no real need for him to take that extra-effort but it was their sincere desire of care and concern for their customer that made them great. What you do every day that demonstrate your care and concern for your customer?
